GrowPlenty; What's our future? Pt 2

What can you do in 30 minutes?

A drone can pick up a package and deliver it to your doorstep. And this is not a distant idea but rather something of the very near and very exciting future.

Delivery Drones are currently being experimented overseas by companies such as Amazon, Google and United Parcel Service. With the drones already being built, programmed, and launched, the focus is now around how these companies can make the drones as safe and environmentally friendly as possible.

Already this experiment with delivery drones has changed the future of delivery and we are nearing an age where drones in the sky will be as common of a sight to delivery trucks.

Technology advancement, such as this, has and will continue to solve real world problems. Sometimes this may be a little daunting and a little scary…

… This is where GrowPlenty comes in: an opportunity to learn more, discuss together and take charge of what our future will look like.

GrowPlenty, a Venture Centre’s Techweek event, delivers two days of hands-on future-focused workshop for those who want to create the world they want to live in.

It is an ‘ecosystem-in-action’ event with examples of some of the leading-edge technologies shaping our world and some great scenarios to look into the future.

Participants will connect with experts who are already working on new technologies, see some of these demonstrated first-hand and come up with new ideas together assisted by facilitators.

The finalé of each day, the showcase element, will demonstrate some of the ideas and possibilities generated by participants.

Come join us to explore what the future will look like so we can together, GrowPlenty.

- Venture Centre works to connect people on enterprising journeys - with each other and the mindset, skillset, toolsets, networks and resources they need - to build an ecosystem that delivers real-world, learn-by-doing events, activities, projects and experiences, and more... This event would not be possible without the sponsorship of Trustpower and the support of Tauranga City and Western Bay of Plenty District councils.
